January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month

In the United States, it is reported that at least 2.7 million people over the age of 40 have glaucoma, which is one of the leading causes of blindness.

The American Optometric Association is urging people of all ages to get an eye exam for early detection and to help reduce the risk of developing glaucoma.
